Aluminium Round Tube
At Alloy Sales we understand the demands of our client's businesses. That's why we invest in our inventory and always hold ample stock of our products including aluminium round tubes. You will find the most sought after alloy grades, sizes and lengths when you buy metal online from our store. Our Aluminium tubes are one of the most popular and versatile products available.
Essentially a metal pipe, this round aluminium tube can be ordered in aluminium grade 6060, 6082 T6 & 6063 T6. The chemical composition of each grade gives the round tubes unique properties which will enhance the right application.
About the Aluminium Grade
Aluminium tubes supplied in grade 6063T6 are suitable for bending, forming and swaging. Aluminium tubes supplied in grade 6082T6 are harder and therefore are excellent for drilling, threading and machining. Both of these grades of aluminium round tube are excellent for welding. Aluminium alloy grade 6060 is a medium strength heat treatable alloy, it has very good corrosion resistance and very good weldability plus good cold formability
Aluminium pipes and tubes are lightweight and suit various structural and architectural applications such as rails, curtain poles fencing posts, frames and other construction applications.
Services we offer at Alloy Sales include powder coating and anodised aluminium. Both methods will coat the tube in a protective layer to increase the shelf-life of the material. Anodising and powder coating are valued in outdoor applications and some colours matches are possible with your design.
Alternatively, we also supply a bright polished round tube. This offers another level of aesthetically pleasing material, ideal in architectural applications.
Whilst our round tube is supplied in standard lengths of 4000mm, it is possible to have your tube cut to size in increments of 1000mm upwards. Less waste for you and only pay for what you need.
Unsure what tube you need? We also supply aluminium rectangular tube, aluminium square tube, as well as round bars, square bars and flat bar.
How are aluminium tubes made?
Our tubes are derived from aluminium billets. The process of extrusion starts by placing the billet through a die in a furnace. At hot temperatures and extreme pressures the tube profile is extruded. This is then cooled down and hardened. The whole process produces an aluminium round tube that is seamless inside and out.
